CONGRATS 12-17-2008
So it has been awhile since I last posted. I just wanted to take this opportunity to congratulate the area teams that are experiencing success on the field.

The Canadian Wildcats had a dominating run through the post season on their way to their second straigh State Football Championship. They brought home the crown last weekend with a 38-7 win over Mart.

The Stratford Elks are going for their first State Championship since 2005 this Saturday in Abilene when they take on Cayuga at Shotwell Stadium. The Elks, like Canadian, have had little trouble in their playoff run. Good luck Coach Metcalf and the Stratford Elks!

The Muleshoe Mules are State Champions for the first time in school history. The Mules waltzed their way through the competition and defeated Kirbybille 48-26 last week for the title. Wes Wood was also named Class AA Player of the year.

Our next congratulations takes us off of the football field and on to the hardwood. No, not basketball, but volleyball. The Lady Falcons of Bushland recently earned their second straight State Volleyball Championship in Class AA.

To all of these teams, congratulations on great seasons from the High School SportZone.
